Preparation/set-up
-
For applications involving machining skirting boards with heights over 88 mm, the special cutting position can be activated on the KAPEX. To do so, pull the saw head slightly forwards, press the rear left lever down and then move the saw head backwards and click it into place. This setting enables skirting boards with heights up to 120 mm to be sawn up to the stop in a standing position.
Procedure
-
The bevel is removed from the housed position in the KAPEX.
-
The interior and exterior angle can then be taken from any corner. The angle bisector is generated automatically when doing so.
-
The required angle can then be transferred to the compound mitre saw using the laser without the need for calculations.
-
The skirting board can now be secured with the workpiece clamp and cut to size.
-
For the counterpiece, transfer the angle to the other side using the laser line.
-
The skirting board can now be secured with the workpiece clamp and cut to size.
