Dust extraction types

There are three classifications of dust extraction, covering the entire spectrum of dust that could be in the air in your workshop or construction site:

  • L Class for soft woods and solid surface material such as Corian – this grade is for < 1.0% dust with maximum allowable concentrations > 1mg/m3.
  • M Class for hard woods, board materials, concrete and brick dust – this grade is for < 0.1% dusts with maximum allowable concentrations > 0.1 mg/m3.
  • H Class for highly carcinogenic dusts, asbestos, formaldehyde, mould, germs and bacteria – this grade is for < 0.005% dusts with maximum allowable concentrations < 0.1mg/m3
