Precise cuts, reliable workpiece guidance and greater flexibility: With the new multifunctional stop, Festool is expanding the capabilities of the KAPEX KS 120 and KS 88 mitre saws. It helps professionals in interior fitting, furniture making and timber construction to achieve precise, repeatable cuts – from small workpieces to complex profiles.
The hold-down function secures the workpiece reliably, reduces the risk of material kickback and eliminates the need for many clamping operations – without any time-consuming clamping. The splinter guard with ‘Zero Clearance’ function provides secure material support directly at the saw blade. This allows even very small sections to be cut to length safely and precisely. The support also ensures tear-free cuts. The height-adjustable stop enables the precise positioning and repeatable cutting of cornice and moulding profiles up to 168 mm in their original wall position – accurately and without restricting the saw table. The aluminium profile can also be used as a rip fence for batch cutting (optionally with MFT/3-AR), as a support block or as a spacer. The splinter guard and contact plate can be fitted without tools, allowing the multifunctional stop to be flexibly adjusted – even for special mitre cuts with the KAPEX KS 120. In this combination, the full potential is realised with precise guidance, a dual-line laser and high performance in a compact design. Greater efficiency, greater precision:
the multifunctional stop will be available from specialist retailers from 7 September 2026.
