The new SYS-PowerStation in action on the building site.

Power as good as from a socket

The new SYS-PowerStation from Festool

A dream come true for building sites: Electrical power all day long – and coming from the new robust third generation Systainer, designed for use on building sites, it couldn't be simpler. Work with ease and confidence – even when there's no power source in reach.
No longer is this the stuff of make-believe – it's now reality thanks to the new SYS-PowerStation from Festool. Boasting 1500 watt-hours, a full 2990 watts of continuous power output and a top power output of up to 18,000 watts, the portable energy storage device delivers a reliable 230-volt mains voltage that lasts. Used with the Kapex KS 60 sliding compound mitre saw and added mobile dust extractor, for instance, that equates to 560 cross-cuts for a parquet floor. For dry mortarless construction, it represents 200 square metres of surface sanding with the mains-operated Planex long-reach sander combined with the compatible mobile dust extractor.

In essence, it means you can work whenever you want, wherever you want, with whichever mains-powered machine you want. The SYS-PowerStation puts an end to those cumbersome lengths and lengths of cable and the constant search for power sockets, keeping you supplied with power at all times wherever you go. The result: Mains-operated power tools can be used more flexibly, making them effectively portable. The new SYS-PowerStation is also compact and portable, and stores up to 1500 watt-hours of electricity. That is equivalent to the energy supplied by 20 battery packs. As such, it has enough energy for a full day's work without mains power, making users completely independent of traditional power sources, such as sockets, site distribution boards or generators. When compared to these sources, the new SYS-PowerStation stands out for its zero-emissions operation: It is silent and produces no harmful fumes when in use – making the SYS-PowerStation better for your health and the environment, as well as making it ideal for use indoors.

Even power-hungry machines such as a large carpentry saw can be rendered portable and reliably powered by the SYS-PowerStation. The SYS-PowerStation weighs only 16 kilograms and the splash-proof (IP44) Systainer³ design is robust enough for use on building sites.

Power as good as from a socket

With 2990 watts continuous power and up to 18,000 watts short-term power, the SYS-PowerStation provides enough energy to power all mains-operated tools – even mobile dust extractors, large saws and hammer drills. Its combination of high-performance capabilities and large power storage with compact design and comparatively low weight makes it a one-of-a-kind on the international market. The SYS-PowerStation powers all mains-operated power tools – without any loss of performance – just like a standard 230 V electrical outlet module. It takes 3 hours to charge.

The mobile socket is intuitive to use via the front panel of the practical Systainer3 housing. Operators can easily see the current state of charge by checking the integrated LED charging indicator on the front face. There is also a second on/off switch inside the Systainer to prevent the device being accidentally switched on in transit. Also located on the front and therefore easy to access is the USB-C port for quickly charging other portable devices such as tablets or smartphones.

This means you can confidently plan your working day on the building site, because there will be no more nasty surprises or interruptions to work caused by endless searching for power, wrestling with lengths of cable, overloaded site distribution boards or problems with fuses tripping.

Zero emissions on site – full power

Unfortunately a thick haze still hangs in the air on many construction sites these days: CO2, nitric oxide and fine particles that irritate people and the environment alike. The primary contributors are often tools and machines powered by combustion engines, such as diesel generators. Providing 1500 watt-hours, the new SYS-PowerStation has enough energy to power all mains-operated tools on the building site without releasing any emissions into its surroundings – which is not only better for the environment but better for your health too.

As you would expect, the SYS-PowerStation is also fully covered by the Festool SERVICE "Full repair, free of charge" promise – fast, thorough and completely free for the first three years.

The new SYS-PowerStation will be available in specialist trade stores in 2021.
