Our new spring 2026 digital magazines are here!

Our Festool Suomi Brand Ambassador Markus Tuovinen tells us all about his latest summer project: Building a sauna on an island in the Finnish Archipelago. The challenge was a remote fishing village without an electrical grid, combined with an environment that demands a high level of precision and careful planning, leaving little room for compromise.

Markus describes how the team mastered the challenges, which tools helped them and what taking the first sauna felt like.

Craftspeople describe a sense of responsibility to build their projects durable and as long lasting as possible. But no matter how skilled you are, in the end, time always takes its toll on everything. And when it does, the world needs people like Finnish restorer Jani Vahto to notice and appreciate all the effort of previous craftspeople and take on their projects. His work is all about preserving maritime heritage, honoring tradition, and proving that patience and passion can bring even a century-old vessel back to life.

For over 25 years, Carsten Bosse and his team have been renovating old buildings. In the Harz region, where he is based, they specialise primarily in half-timbered houses. “You’re never safe from surprises there,” says the master carpenter. Nevertheless, with the right tools, he always finds a solution when it comes to timber construction and the renovation of half-timbered buildings.

Can Festool Cordless Tools Handle a Live Bellway Homes Site?

We Put Them to the Test

When it comes to professional construction, tools need to do more than perform in ideal conditions; they need to stand up to the demands of a busy site, day after day. From first-fix carpentry to finishing work, reliability, power and efficiency are essential, and tradespeople often stick with the brands they know and trust.

When compactness becomes a strength

A wooden wheelchair - built by the people who need it themselves. What sounds unusual at first becomes a reality for six veterans in Ukraine. The man behind this project is Frenchman Paul, who wanted to use his own experience to open up new perspectives for people with serious injuries. A few months ago, he was at the Unbroken Center in Lviv - a large rehabilitation centre for people with serious injuries. It is the place where this great project began.

In the small Dutch painting company Jack de Jager & Zoon, two sons work closely together with their father. They live and love their craft. And when it comes to tools, everything stays in the family: once Festool, always Festool.

The GM Haus team does everything: from the first fix in structural timber construction to the finish in interior construction. And all at the highest level. We were allowed to look over their shoulders on a building site in Cornwall, England.
